What We Are Looking For
Gearbox Software is looking for an experience tools programmer to join our game development team. As a member of the Tools Team, you will maintain, enhance, and extend our current game development tool set. The ideal candidate is a strong C++ programmer that is eager to apply their excellent problem solving and communication skills in helping our development team create awesome video games.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, enhance, and implement tools systems used by all projects
- Interact with project team members to gather, interpret, and discuss design requirements
- Assist users in identifying and resolving tool and/or workflow issues
Qualifications
- 5+ years game industry experience
- Excellent C++ skills
- Proficient C# skills
- Ability to design flexible, extendible, and performant software
- Experience with a variety of computer-related languages and tool-related technologies
- Excellent debugging skills
- Excellent UI/UX design skills
- Excellent creative problem solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A passion for developing high-quality software
Nice-to-Haves
- Familiarity with Unreal Engine
- Background in creating and maintaining tools systems
