The Role

At Abby Care, community is our greatest strength—and we’re looking for a Community Events Specialist to bring that to life. This is a Part-Time opportunity based in Denver, CO, with the possibility to extend to full-time. This role is all about creating meaningful, consistent, and inclusive touchpoints that connect families, reduce isolation, and foster a sense of belonging among our members. From park playdates to moms' nights out, you’ll design and execute events that build community, generate word-of-mouth referrals, and amplify our mission. You’ll be the face of Abby Care in the community—part strategist, part storyteller, and always a connector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research, plan, coordinate, and host a variety of weekly events across Colorado (family-friendly, caregiver-only, informal, and signature experiences).
  • Manage logistics for events including location scouting, budgeting, marketing, materials, and refreshments.
  • Serve as an on-the-ground representative of Abby Care—sharing our story, building trust, and deepening relationships.
  • Track key engagement and conversion metrics to evaluate impact and optimize event strategy.
  • Foster and grow a thriving caregiver network by ensuring a sense of community at all events.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate events into broader growth, outreach, and retention strategies.
  • Stay attuned to caregiver needs, community trends, and local opportunities to increase reach and relevance.

The Requirements

  • Must currently reside in the Greater Denver Metropolitan Area
  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent 4-year degree in Marketing, Communications, or Public Health
  • 1–3 years of experience coordinating events for groups of 25 or more, with direct involvement in event logistics
  • Experience in community engagement, event coordination, outreach initiatives, or grassroots organizing efforts
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel locally for events and participation
  • Comfortability to operate independently in a field-based environment
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred

This is a Part-Time role with an estimated hourly compensation of $20/hr.
