System Administrator
The System Administrator is responsible for installing, configuring, securing, and maintaining software, hardware, and system infrastructure across Windows, Linux, and macOS environments. This role includes monitoring system performance, managing user access and security policies, implementing security controls, maintaining reliable backup and recovery processes, resolving technical issues, and documenting system configurations.
What you’ll do:
• Install and configure software and hardware, including operating systems (Windows, Linux) and server infrastructure
• Monitor system performance and manage resources to prevent bottlenecks and ensure uptime
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies such as Active Directory
• Implement security controls, firewalls, and security patches to protect data and infrastructure
• Develop and maintain secure, reliable backup and recovery systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues for users
• Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and network diagrams
What you’ll need:
• 4 years of experience in Windows Server, Linux, and/or macOS environments
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, and LAN/WAN configurations
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper‑V
• Experience with firewalls, anti‑virus software, and/or data security practices
• Experience with automation tools and scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash
• Valid DoD 8570 certification (ex: Sec+)
Bonus points if you have:
• Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or Azure
• Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Splunk, LogRhythm, or Prometheus
• Experience with disaster recovery planning and testing
Clearance:
• Active Secret security clearance

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
