Senior Segment Marketing Manager, Retail

At Adyen, we are at the forefront of financial technology, driving innovation in payment solutions for enterprise businesses globally. We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Segment Marketing Manager, Retail to lead full-funnel demand generation strategies that win the hearts, minds, and wallets of enterprise retail merchants across North America.

As a Senior Segment Marketing Manager at Adyen, you will own the end-to-end campaign journey, taking Adyen’s industry-leading financial technology platform and translating it into high-converting, vertical-specific marketing programs. This role sits at the intersection of strategic positioning, multi-channel campaign execution, and tight commercial alignment with Sales, SDR, and Partnerships teams.

This hybrid role is based in our New York office and reports directly to the Head of North America Marketing, Unified Commerce and Digital.

What You’ll Do:

  • GTM activation: Design, launch, and manage multi-channel marketing programs across paid, digital, events, and ABM to generate measurable pipeline and accelerate enterprise deal velocity.
  • Sector analysis: Deeply analyze payments trends, retail industry dynamics, and buyer personas to uncover critical audience pain points that inform messaging and campaign architecture.
  • Campaign strategy: Convert industry insights into compelling campaigns tailored for complex enterprise buying committees across both technical and business personas.
  • Cross-functional orchestration: Lead internal project pods (Product Marketing, Partner Marketing, Design, Content, etc.) with clear campaign briefs to deliver high-quality assets on schedule.
  • Commercial alignment: Partner with Sales, SDR, Partnerships, and Account Management teams to align on target account priorities, co-develop campaign goals, and ensure seamless lead follow-up and conversion.
  • Data & Insights: Own campaign measurement and optimization, using data and insights to iterate, scale, and continuously improve pipeline performance, wrapping up programs with structured post-campaign retrospectives.
  • Scale marketing excellence: Synthesize and share campaign learnings, frameworks, and best practices to continuously raise the bar for demand generation across the team, region, and globe.

Who You Are:

  • Proven Experience: 10+ years of B2B marketing experience, with at least 3 years at a technology, SaaS, or fintech company owning the end-to end strategy and execution of integrated campaigns for an enterprise buying audience.
  • Campaign Expertise: A track record of launching integrated multi-channel campaigns and ABM programs that measurably generate and influence enterprise pipeline.
  • Vertical Fluency: Proven ability to rapidly immerse yourself in a new industry. Regardless of the vertical, you know how to build deep domain knowledge, uncover unique buyer pain points, and translate those insights into innovative campaign strategies.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: High data literacy with hands-on experience using marketing analytics and CRM tools to track full-funnel conversion metrics and optimize ROI.
  • Cross-functional leader: Exceptional stakeholder management skills with proven ability to develop campaign briefs and creative concepts, while simultaneously aligning commercial, product, and creative teams toward shared revenue goals.
  • Adyen Formula: You have a builder mentality and operate with high autonomy, direct communication, and speed. You balance this bias for action with a low-ego mindset, actively seeking diverse perspectives and prioritizing collective team wins over individual ones.
