Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack
Opportunity:
As a Fullstack Senior Software Engineer, you'll join our Compose team that owns the entire Airbyte UI experience. You're not just building another dashboard - you're creating the interface that thousands of developers use to power their data infrastructure.
Here's what makes this role extraordinary: We're expanding far beyond basic data movement. You'll be building the next generation of data tools that will make Airbyte the single pane of glass for entire data operations.
Game-Changing Products You'll Build:
- Data Orchestration Interfaces - Help teams coordinate complex workflows with intuitive drag-and-drop builders
- Real-Time Observability Dashboards - Create stunning visualizations that monitor terabytes of data flowing through pipelines
- Interactive Data Lineage Maps - Build visual tools that trace how data moves through entire organizations
- Streaming Analytics Controls - Design real-time interfaces for live data processing
- AI-Powered Features - Integrate with LLMs and vector databases, making AI accessible to every data team
What You'll Do:
- Build intuitive interfaces that make complex data replication and monitoring effortless
- Create AI features that auto-generate connectors from API documentation
- Lead technical direction through mentorship, coding standards, and architecture decisions
- Write high-leverage code that impacts thousands of users while engaging our open-source community
- Shape product roadmap based on user feedback to build industry-standard features
What We're Looking For:
- 6+ years of frontend/fullstack experience building production applications
- Deep expertise with TypeScript and React - you know these tools inside and out
- An obsession with user experience - you care deeply about how people interact with your code
- Backend curiosity - you're willing to dig into APIs and backend code when needed
- Startup energy - you thrive in fast-moving environments where your work directly impacts company success
Bonus Points If You Have:

- Experience with Java/Kotlin (our backend technologies)
- Knowledge of data tools, ETL/ELT processes, or analytics platforms
- Open-source contributions or community involvement
- Experience at high-growth tech companies
Location
- San Francisco office, 3x/week
Compensation
- $190,000 - $220,000 base salary + a generous equity package, and benefits listed below for the U.S. market.
