Role: Project Manager
As a Project Manager at Gil-Bar Industries, you will be responsible for overseeing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring excellent customer service and effective problem resolution. This role involves maintaining customer records, building relationships with clients and suppliers, and collaborating with internal and external teams to address issues. You will serve as a liaison, ensuring that all projects are successfully completed and all orders are processed efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the submittal/shop drawing process, accurately order materials, and oversee supplier delivery to meet project goals.
- Develop scope documents, interview subcontractors, and manage their work to ensure adherence to timelines and budgets, while being responsible for the project budget. Assist and resolve customer issues professionally, maintaining accurate customer records and building relationships with clients and suppliers.
- Ensure the successful submission, provisioning, and completion of all assigned projects, acting as a liaison between clients, vendors, and company employees.
- Keep management informed by interpreting information and making recommendations, while coordinating the work process with operational departments.
- Review and facilitate understanding of invoices with customers and verify supplier invoices for accuracy and timely approval.
- Clarify and resolve product or service problems by determining the cause and providing suitable solutions, while following up to ensure resolution.
- Collaborate with internal and external contacts for issue resolution through research, troubleshooting, and escalation to management when necessary.
- Complete special marketing projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, or one to two years of related experience, or a combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in inventory and scheduling software, along with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong competencies in project management, client relations, planning and organizing, adaptability, and professionalism.
- Ability to develop project plans, coordinate activities, manage customer situations, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing environments.
- Physical ability to climb stairs and ladders and perform tasks in construction environments.
- Exposure to construction sites, including moderate to very loud noise, moving mechanical parts, and outdoor conditions.
- Regular travel within New York City and surrounding areas is required.

Compensation: $63,000 - $115,000/yr with flexibility based on experience and skills.
