Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

About the role
As a QA Engineer, you’ll work hand-in-hand with developers, product managers, and our QA team lead to uncover, document, and squash issues—keeping our software polished and our users happy. You’ll also help shape and expand our test automation practices. If you’re detail-obsessed, passionate about delivering flawless user experiences, and bring solid experience in manual web application testing (plus some know-how of test automation frameworks), you’ll thrive here.
What you’ll do
- Perform functional, regression, exploratory, integration, and smoke testing across a web platform.
- Log detailed and reproducible defect reports and work with developers to ensure resolution.
- Investigate customer problems referred to by the technical support team, test bugs, and create and manage bug reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of automated test scripts for regression testing.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and best practices.
- Document all testing actions you have performed and run reports as needed.
- Perform root cause analysis of issues and proactively raise quality concerns.
What you’ll bring
- 3+ years of experience in manual QA testing of software applications.
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Exposure to test automation tools (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, or Postman)
- Familiarity with bug tracking systems like Jira or similar.
- The ability to keep current with the constantly changing technology industry.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- A passion for testing, development, and design.
Bonus if you have
- Basic scripting or programming skills in Python, JavaScript, or Java.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Knowledge of REST APIs and ability to validate requests/responses
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub)
- Experience testing in cloud environments (AWS)
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $90k - $110k.
Analyst1 salary ranges are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, location and relevant education or training.
