The Quality team is responsible for a wide range of activities that are crucial to the manufacturing process including operating equipment, assembling products, performing quality control checks, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a Lead Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team at Anduril. Here you will work on cutting-edge technology aimed at advancing the state-of-the-possible. The Lead Quality Inspector will lead a team of highly talented Quality Inspectors to produce UAS for strategic military and commercial customers. This is a highly dynamic role that requires both frontline technical skills.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Interface with Shipping, Receiving, Production, Quality, Planning and other related departments to resolve problems relative to business needs.
- Coordinate daily activities, including schedules and work flow with the production team and leadership.
- Assist team members in understanding work procedures, maintaining work order clocking activities, and ensuring performance standards are met.
- Assist in implementing training programs as needed to maintain a highly skilled, cross-functional workforce.
- Ensure that a clean and organized work area is maintained by making continuous improvements to workspace design.
*This opportunity would be for second shift with the hours of 3pm-11:30pm*
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3 years of experience in aerospace, military, quality, or testing environment.
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience in quality assurance & comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
- Strong understanding of in-process, final inspections, and visual inspection methods.
- Ability to navigate challenging situations, using technical knowledge and quality principles to understand the current state and determine the constructive path forward.
- Previous leadership experience: Guiding teams and refining improvement ideas, effectively communicating the benefits to influence stakeholders, and executing actions to deliver results aligned with Anduril Quality Policy.
- Practical experience with Quality Management Systems standards (AS9100/ISO 9001).
- Able to read and interpret various mechanical drawings and blueprints.
- Ability to utilize hand tools for inspection, i.e. micrometers, calipers, scales, gauges and height gauges.
- Able to multi-task between production checks and FAIs.
- Experience with GD&T.
- CMM experience.
- Solid computer skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Ability to detect design and drawing flaws.
- Excellent concentration and attention to detail with outstanding work efficiency and accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specification using ASME Y14.5. GD&T and skillful use of metrology tools and gauges.
US Hourly Range
$36 - $54 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
