The team’s mission is to safeguard Anduril’s people, assets, operations, and supply chain through proactively understanding, identifying, analyzing and mitigating threats from insiders and external entities. This team is proactive and prevention-focused in order to ensure our security environment remains vigilant and resilient so that our strategic interests are preserved. ABOUT THE POSITION


Anduril is seeking a skilled professional who is interested in a unique opportunity to help strategize, socialize and implement a Threat Assessment and Threat Management (TATM) program which requires expertise in high risk crisis response topics such as workplace violence prevention, insider threat and threat assessment and management. The TATM Manager will also require significant critical thinking, creativity, complex problem solving and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work across a rapidly growing, global, dynamic organization to identify and mitigate threats. The TATM Manager is responsible for leading the TATM capability and will be focused on developing Anduril’s Workplace Violence Prevention Program and standing up the TATM that will be proactive and prevention-focused, supporting the identification and response to risk factors and patterns of escalation before they can result in a negative event. The TATM Manager must be a self-starter that can operate independently, collaborate and bring together diverse groups of stakeholders and be responsive to fast paced and dynamic operational and threat environments.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Support the development and execution of a TATM capability tailored to Anduril’s unique threats and requirements and supporting our CI, Insider Threat and Corporate Security teams.
  • Develop and implement a Workplace Violence Prevention program to include associated policy and training development, oversight of the cross functional group responsible for orchestrating response actions and crisis intervention for potential acts of violence as well development of detailed incident response plans for responding to incidents of workplace violence.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (e.g., ER, HR, Legal, Cyber, Health and Safety, etc.) and Law Enforcement partners as appropriate.
  • Develop a comprehensive threat assessment strategy and behavioral threat assessment process for analyzing and responding to potential threats and a structured approach for assessing potential threats and concerning behaviors.
  • Employ diverse tools and protocols, combining behavioral and other structured analytic techniques or structured professional judgement tools to evaluate potential threats.
  • Provide threat assessment and threat management consultation to support the broader CI and Insider Threat team, Corporate Security and Employee Relations (ER).
  • Leverage a variety of complex internal and external datasets and tools to support identification and assessment of concerning behaviors and potential threats.
  • Conduct comprehensive, coordinated investigations of all violence related threats, conducting interviews, developing mitigation and support plans to reduce immediate and long term risks as well as support Insider Threat and ER investigations, ensuring proper evidence collection and documentation.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry and government counterparts to share best practices.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on assessments and recommendations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Security or Intelligence Studies, Criminal Justice, Behavioral/Mental Health (e.g., Phycology, Social Work, etc.), Forensic Sciences or a related field.
  • 8 years experience working on or leading cross-functional threat assessment and threat management programs providing evidence-based, data-driven behavioral threat assessment and management support.
  • Experience developing and overseeing Workplace Violence Prevention Programs to include policy and training development.
  • Experience working with and supporting CI, Insider Threat and Physical Security teams and associated investigations.
  • Strong analytic and assessment abilities, with proven experience with behavioral threat assessment.
  • Excellent critical thinking, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience leading and supporting fast paced, complex investigations in rapidly evolving threat environments.
  • Demonstrated ability leveraging multiple data sets and tools to support complex assessments and investigations.
  • Certified Threat Manager (CTM) or other formal training or certifications in threat assessment and management, such as the FBI’s BAU, or other university, government or private sector courses/certification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Membership in Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP) or similar professional organization.
  • Experience establishing a new threat management program, with experience implementing outside the U.S.
  • Experience in workplace violence prevention and threat assessment and management within the corporate setting.
  • Experience implementing the State of California’s SB 553 requirements.

US Salary Range

$129,000 - $171,000 USD

 

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
