FOS Staff Accountant I

Position Summary:
As our clients’ personal CFOs, we are considered trusted advisors for all financial aspects of their personal and professional lives. Our platinum-level client service model has allowed us to harvest deep rooted relationships with our clients and their other trusted advisors.

As a Staff Accountant I, you will focus on daily data entry and processing to support internal client teams. If you have a passion for client service and want to hone your accounting skills at the highest stage, you will love working at Apercen FOS

Essential Functions:

•    Review invoices to ensure required details are included
•    Accurately enter invoices for payment, including vendor details and general ledger coding, into Oracle accounting system
•    Process approved payments and transfers in Oracle accounting system
•    Prepare monthly brokerage account journal entries
•    Prepare monthly credit card journal entries
•    Prepare payroll journal entries
•    Prepare other journal entries as required to record various transactions
•    Prepare monthly bank and/or balance sheet reconciliations for assigned client entities
•    Assist with month end process
•    Prepare monthly vendor summaries as needed
•    Assist in preparing financial reports and statements, including monthly balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
•    Assist in preparing quarterly client expense reporting
•    Assist in annual 1099 reporting process
•    Update, verify, and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other financial records for assigned client entities
•    Work with client team Senior Accountant to develop and implement policies and procedures
•    Participate in client team and greater FOS group trainings

Qualifications:

•    Bachelor's Degree
•    Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external teams both verbally and via email
•    Possession of the utmost integrity and ability to uphold client confidentiality
•    Ability to adapt quickly to change and manage stress
•    Ability to work well in a team environment
•    Must be detail-oriented
•    Ability to understand and carry out directions in an independent manner
•    Ability to process rush items or otherwise meet daily deadlines
•    Ability to act as the first line of internal control for cash disbursements by ensuring invoices are approved by proper client personnel
•    Possession of good decision-making skills and self-awareness
 

Desired Qualifications:

•    Minimum of 1-2 years of applicable experience
