Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior IT Support Engineer to join our dynamic Dev Services IT team. This role is critical in driving the technology infrastructure, ensuring high availability, and providing innovative solutions that align with the company’s strategic goals. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, a passion for problem-solving, and a proactive attitude towards technological advancements.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Contribution:

  • Act as a highly skilled IT engineer contributing directly to projects and problem-solving without a leadership focus.

  • Collaborate with team members to execute IT-driven initiatives and align with business objectives.

2.Project Management:

  • Take a vague deliverable, flesh out a strategy and goals, and build a clear roadmap forward.

  • Handle multi-month projects by engaging and working through various tasks and milestones.

  • Define large efforts with milestones and deliver clear visibility on progress throughout.

3.Network and Security:

  • Manage firewalls, VPNs, and other network security measures to safeguard corporate data.

  • Implement and enforce IT security policies and compliance standards.

4.Troubleshooting and Support:

  • Resolve complex technical issues promptly to minimize business disruptions.

  • Provide expert-level support for IT services on Mac and Windows systems.

5.Innovation and Optimization:

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.

  • Identify and streamline IT processes and workflows to enhance efficiency.

  • Self-educate on new software and services to reach proficiency in a short time.

  • Produce basic scripts or automated workflows as part of the job.

6.Documentation and Compliance:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, configurations, and processes.

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

  • Audit systems and assess outcomes to meet financial and privacy compliance requirements.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support device provisioning and software layouts to fit the needs of diverse teams.

  • Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy.

  • Negotiate with external businesses and bring proposals to leadership for approval.

  • Manage relationships effectively with various groups within the company, ensuring that input is included.

  • Teach and enrich the rest of the IT team in their specialty areas.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in IT engineering or a similar individual contributor role.

  • Generally, 5 or more years of relevant IT experience.

  • Experience/Understanding of IT budgets and reporting, including hardware/software purchasing and vendor negotiations.

  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and computer hardware/software systems.

  • Familiarity with Okta or related systems; strong capability with Google Workspace, including user/group management, email management, and event reporting.

  • Comfort with and ability to produce basic shell scripting or Python scripts.

  • Expertise in debugging computer issues for Mac and Windows remotely.

Soft Skills:

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Respected by peers within and outside the IT team.

AppLovin provides a competitive total compensation package with a pay for performance rewards approach. Total compensation at AppLovin is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Depending on the position offered, equity, and other forms of incentive compensation (as applicable) may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to dental, vision, and other benefits.

USA Base Pay Range: CA, NY, WA States

$109,000 - $163,000 USD

USA Base Pay Range: all other States (excludes CA, NY, WA)

$90,000 - $136,000 USD
