AppLovin is seeking a highly quantitative and experienced Marketing Science Partner to join our Product Partnerships team. In this role, you will drive measurement strategy, demonstrate the ROI and value of our platform, and develop best practices that accelerate the growth of both our clients and our own eCommerce advertising business. Reporting directly to the Head of Product Partnerships, you will work closely with cross-functional teams—including research science, engineering, product, business development, and analytics—to inform product development and optimize performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the client teams to drive strategic initiatives and establish “learning agendas” that help clients improve business outcomes through better measurement techniques.

  • Advise internal and external stakeholders on measurement strategy, working with clients on an ongoing basis to adopt robust measurement practices that enhance advertising effectiveness.

  • Work with client teams to design tests and analyze complex data sets to evaluate the effectiveness of advertising, from both direct response and brand perspectives.

  • Conduct in-depth custom analysis and ad effectiveness studies to understand the relative impact of various marketing strategies, providing actionable insights for business impact.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, R&D, Engineering, Creative, and Marketing) to identify opportunities for new features, products, and partnerships.

  • Translate complex research results into clear, actionable insights for a general audience.

  • Develop white papers, thought leadership pieces, and educational materials on effective measurement strategies, direct response, and performance marketing.

  • Educate clients, agencies, and industry stakeholders on AppLovin’s advertising, measurement, and research capabilities.

  • Manage a complex set of client relationships across various industries, functions, and agencies to ensure alignment on measurement objectives and drive successful outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, economics, behavioral or social science). An advanced degree is a plus.

  • Significant experience in data analysis in an online environment, with direct exposure to scoping and executing analytical projects end-to-end.

  • Hands-on experience with analyzing and manipulating large data sets using statistical software and tools such as R, MATLAB, SPSS, SAS, STATA, Hive, and SQL.

  • In-depth understanding of industry measurement tools and methodologies (e.g., attribution models, geolift) and the digital advertising landscape.

  • Proven ability to communicate technical content effectively to a general audience.

  • Demonstrated experience in client-facing roles, driving change through the adoption of innovative products or research methods.

  • Direct response/performance marketing experience, with a strong grasp of the evolving online advertising ecosystem.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the eCommerce vertical is preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to apply machine learning techniques to marketing measurement challenges.

  • Passion for AppLovin and online advertising.

  • Intellectually curious, a fast learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on high-impact projects.

AppLovin provides a competitive total compensation package with a pay for performance rewards approach. Total compensation at AppLovin is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Depending on the position offered, equity, and other forms of incentive compensation (as applicable) may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to dental, vision, and other benefits.

CA Base Pay Range

$137,200 - $254,800 USD
