Director of Growth

About Arise
Care to heal your body and mind

Someone dies of an eating disorder every 52 minutes. This isn’t a niche problem — 5 million Americans will experience this life-threatening condition every year, yet up to 90% will never have access to the care they need. Arise was started by and for people who have lived with eating disorders themselves to build the first tech-driven collaborative care model for eating disorders. Delivered virtually through an app and video sessions, Arise brings together peer support with person-centered clinical care to bring people the right care while expanding access to many more people — including underserved communities like BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and others who don’t fit the incorrect stereotype of what an eating disorder “looks like.” Together, we are building a new kind of care where healing is accessible to all. Arise is backed by leading VCs and growing quickly to expand access to eating disorder care across new states & populations this year.

About the role:

We are looking for a Director of Growth to lead our expansion & acquisition strategy as we bring inclusive, person-centered eating disorder care to many more people who need it — with particular spike on growth marketing. This role will be a critical part of the early team at Arise, working closely with the leadership team and reporting directly to the CEO. You will be responsible for leading the growth strategy and channels to support the launch of new markets, new partnerships with payers, driving member growth, and building awareness of Arise among key audiences. This is a full-time, fully remote position.

Key responsibilities:

  • Scale Member Acquisition:
    • Design and implement targeted, repeatable acquisition strategies to scale member growth and retention, leveraging both digital and offline channels.
    • Optimize and scale various member acquisition funnels and streamline pathways to increase conversion rates and decrease customer acquisition costs.
    • Forecast, measure, and report the performance of all acquisition campaigns, and assess against ROI and KPI goals.
  •  Drive Product & Market Expansion
    • Oversee the market strategy for launching in new regions, focusing on optimizing patient enrollment and revenue impact.
    • Drive the go-to-market strategy for new products or services, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.
    • Collaborate with product teams to ensure offerings are tailored to meet market demands and customer needs effectively
  •  Support Partnership Development
    • Support our Partnerships team in forging & nurturing strategic partnerships with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other relevant stakeholders to drive patient referrals and enhance service accessibility.
    • Collaborate with the Business Development team to support and expand B2B relationships, directly contributing to revenue goals.

What we’re looking for:

  • 7+ years of experience in growth-centric roles within healthcare, technology, or a related field, with a proven track record in scaling customer bases and achieving revenue targets.
  • Strong strategic and analytical capabilities, with the ability to turn complex data into actionable growth strategies.
  • Experience managing and optimizing large-scale customer acquisition campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Demonstrated ability in leading market expansion and product launch efforts in new and existing markets.
  • Exceptional leadership qualities with the capability to drive team performance and foster a collaborative environment. Excited to rally the team towards a collective vision.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Comfortable with uncertainty and demonstrates exceptional judgment to successfully drive initiatives from conception to execution, iterating along the way to achieve broader company goals
  • Prior experience working in early stage startups and excited to zoom in and out. Embraces a view that no task is too big or small
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of articulating complex strategies to a diverse range of stakeholders

Benefits:

  • Unlimited PTO with a minimum of two weeks off so you actually take time for yourself!
  • Competitive health plans
  • One Medical and Kindbody memberships
  • 401(k) because we’re here to support you in investing in your future
  • Mental health benefits
  • Flex/fun days to give you more time to rest and recharge

Our Values:

  • Listen to lead. We’re not going to have all the answers. To effectively serve every person’s healing journey, we must start by humbly listening to and elevating all voices and experiences.
  • Everybody matters. We’re here for people of any age, race, size, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, and background, because everyone deserves to be understood, respected, and supported.
  • We’re all human. Being human means that we celebrate our successes together and support each other through the low points. We give each other the space to rise and fall and rise again.

The Arise team is located all over the country and this is a remote role. Travel for attendance at company and team offsites, marketing events and initiatives, and conferences may be required. We strongly encourage people who identify as BIPOC, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and members of other historically underserved communities to apply!
