About the Role
Baron Capital is seeking a highly motivated Hybrid Investment Specialist to join the growing RIA & Family Office team. This person will work in tandem with the Regional Director to ensure that all RIA prospects and current clients are covered in an optimal manner from a sales and retention perspective. The successful candidate will balance working with the Regional Director on large account coverage, while also working directly with more mid-market RIAs in the region, deepening relationships with existing Registered Investment Advisors and developing new partnerships. This person will also provide consistent support to the broader RIA effort, collaborating with sales management and contributing to team functionality.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop robust Baron product and asset class knowledge and demonstrate ongoing interest in the industry
- Present Baron Capital’s products and services in a manner that clearly identifies the benefits of the products relative to our peers and competitors
- Provide advisors with technical information, demonstrating a strong knowledge of the competitive landscape, financial markets, business management, and industry-related topics
- Partner with Regional Director to help penetrate new markets and deepen existing relationships, while growing product suite with larger RIAs and national aggregators
- Contribute to achieving top-tier market share at the territory level, focusing on key RIAs and products
- Work closely and communicate effectively with Sales Management
- Uphold performance standards and work towards business unit objectives with integrity and efficiency
- Directly drive sales through proactive solicitation via email and phone to supplement external sales activities
- Provide inbound and outbound client support, including helping to service clients, qualify prospects, and send follow-up info
- Proactively mine databases and sales reports to assist senior relationship managers in managing their territories
- Collaborate with sales management to provide valuable feedback and insights on industry trends and market demands
- Work closely with Portfolio Management, Portfolio Solutions, Compliance, Legal, Operations, Risk, and Trading teams to address client requests
- Participate in projects and initiatives to help improve overall team functionality and efficiency
- Periodic travel for in-person meetings and conferences
Qualifications
Required:
- At least 4-6 years of total experience
- Much of this experience should be in a sales role or function, ideally with significant exposure to the RIA market
- Excellent communication skills and keen ability to develop multiple levels and types of relationships within client organizations
- Highly collaborative, team-focused, accountable, and self-motivated person
- Series 7 and 66 required
- Ability to travel within the region as required
Preferred Qualifications:
- High-quality training and experience in a traditional and/or alternative asset management setting
- Experience driving a sales process and managing a sales funnel/pipeline
- Demonstrated sales DNA and an organized, process-driven approach, including very strong preparation and follow-up skills
- Strong core intellect and desire to work with a sophisticated product offering
- A deep desire to be part of a growth story and to engage RIAs with a differentiated product and value proposition
- An ability and desire to continually educate an audience about the nature and benefits of our product offering
The base salary range for this position is based on skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. In addition, it is eligible for commissions and annual discretionary bonus. It also participates in the Firm's 401(k) and Profit-Sharing Plan.
