Associate Director - Ad Operations

We’re hiring an Associate Director – Ad Operations to lead the operational backbone of Careem Ads. This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing campaign execution, driving operational excellence, and building scalable systems and teams to support growth. You will play a strategic role in ensuring that all ad campaigns meet performance targets, deadlines, and advertiser expectations.
Key Responsibilities

Define and execute the operational strategy for Careem Ads, aligning with company growth targets and commercial partner needs.

Build and mentor a high-performing Ad Ops team with clear roles, responsibilities, and development plans.

Lead campaign delivery across all phases—pre-sales planning, setup, monitoring, optimization, and wrap-up reporting.

Ensure best-in-class campaign execution through rigorous QA, delivery oversight, and performance troubleshooting.

Design and implement internal tools, workflows, and automation systems in collaboration with Product and Engineering to improve operational speed and accuracy.

Own and refine SOPs, process documentation, and service standards across teams and markets.

Monitor KPIs such as delivery rate, revenue realization, and trafficking accuracy; use these insights to optimize team performance and delivery quality.

Collaborate closely with Brand Partnerships, Sales, and Product teams to align operational capabilities with advertiser requirements and product roadmap.

Represent the Ad Ops function in strategic planning and leadership meetings, influencing both tactical execution and long-term planning.
What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).

6–8 years of experience in digital advertising, operations, or media delivery, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Demonstrated success in building scalable ad operations in a high-growth environment.

Strong knowledge of advertising campaign delivery metrics, optimization levers, and troubleshooting methodologies.

Proven leadership skills with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.

Data-driven decision-maker with experience in using insights to guide operational improvements and revenue impact.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to present operational plans and updates to leadership and external partners.
