You'll be joining a diverse group of focused, hard-working people who are passionate about doing work that's challenging and fun—and who strive to maintain a healthy work/life balance.

The Role

We’re looking for a Product Design Intern to help shape the future of digital content and audience engagement analytics across Chartbeat, Tubular, LineUp & FatTail. You’ll work with Designers, Product Managers, and Developers to design user-centered, insight-driven experiences that help media companies turn audience insights into smarter content decisions and more effective workflows.

You’ll be joining a collaborative, curious, and kind product team that values thoughtful problem solving, strong partnerships across disciplines, and design that drives real impact. Chartbeat is a place where good ideas thrive, and where product and design are deeply respected.

This is a fully remote and temporary position.

What you’ll do

  • Create and iterate on designs that result in an intuitive UI that empowers our users to make smarter content and business decisions.
  • Collaborate with designers and product managers to define use cases and gather requirements.
  • Contribute to roadmap initiatives in addition to incremental improvements to existing features.
  • Design for a range of platform constraints — balancing consistency, flexibility, and usability across varying data sources and content formats.
  • Research design initiatives by participating in customer product discovery calls and investigating user behavior with our product analytics tools.
  • Participate in design reviews and critiques with designers, product teams, stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Document design decisions and coordinate hand off polished, pixel-perfect designs to the development team.

Minimum Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Experience in Figma for design, prototyping and handoff.
  • Open to feedback with a problem-solving mindset to iterate and refine designs.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and motivated to produce high-quality work that’s both functional and delightful.
  • Work samples demonstrating strong skills in conceptualizing design ideas, creating mockups, and developing prototypes.

Compensation

Hourly rate of $16; the internship is for 12 weeks with 40 hours per week.

This is a fully remote and temporary position.
