What You’ll Do

Flatiron Health, Inc. seeks an Associate Research Scientist, Biostatistics at its New York, NY location.

Transform real-world clinical data into actionable insights to accelerate cancer research using robust statistical methods and compelling data visualizations in formats accessible to a wide range of end users. Become a subject matter expert on our longitudinal oncology EMR data and its capabilities.  Work with a cross-functional team to define and clarify analytic requirements, develop analysis plans, ensure data quality standards, and create publication-ready methods and results. Apply epidemiological and statistical principles in developing study design and analysis plan, and serve as a thought partner in identifying additional analyses and questions of interest from statistical perspective. Write clean, readable and reusable codes, and implement pre-specified analyses to advance a project, including those with some nuance and complexity. Generate ideas for analyses to shape future projects, contributing to a pipeline of opportunities that will help Flatiron achieve its ambitious growth goals.  Mentor more junior members of the team by serving as a resource to others, by providing a thoughtful and critical eye in code reviews, and by constructively challenging them with ideas and alternative analytical solutions.  Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the US.
