Pay Range: $73,944.00 - $90,705.00

General Purpose of the Position
Provides business analysis expertise for organizational initiatives, strategies, innovative solutions, and process improvements through development of business requirements, collaboration with business owners and other stakeholders, and coordination with vendor partners in support of business unit and member service needs. The Business Analyst will work with all areas of the organization to develop, document, and communicate detailed business requirements that describe the business need and solution scope in addition to providing quality analysis and testing expertise. This position will interact and drive consultative conversations across all areas of the organization. This is an operational role, requiring attention to detail, stakeholder interactions, and management of expectations within business and technical teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including the following). May perform other duties as requested or assigned.
- Accountable for developing, defining, and documenting business requirements that describe the business need and solution scope, and communicate them effectively to organizational stakeholders, vendors, and Project Managers as needed
- Collaborate with technical and business experts, adhering to enterprise architectural frameworks and roadmaps to design processes, systems, and information/data architectures
- Responsible for writing comprehensive functional specifications that can be used by solutions/systems engineers to support the creation of technical designs and delivery of business and technical requirements
- Build and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the processes, systems, and data in a defined capability/service delivery area
- Provide process expertise to others to understand the impact of system enhancements on the company’s processes and how system functions and processes will generate the intended outcomes for business
- Remain up to date on technology trends, opportunities, compliance, and regulatory requirements within a defined capability/service delivery area
- Responsible for communicating documented findings to technical team members, creating, and validating proposed resolutions, ensuring the initial issues were corrected, and that impacts are understood.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure business requirements are satisfied and ensure proper UAT documentation is produced (based on use cases and test requirements)
- Support proper training, transition, change management, and cutover plans are developed and executed to ensure proper user adoption and minimize business disruption
- Provide project management support for small/medium size projects. For example, project planning and execution, issue management and status reporting
- Support and organize research on financial, product, market, operational, and other relevant areas to assist in strategic and business planning across the organization
- Own and develop relationship with key stakeholders and vender partners, working with them to optimize and enhance our integration efforts
- Contributes to developing organizational skills and fostering teamwork to support and execute strategic initiatives. Collaborates with business leaders to define, communicate, and evaluate initiatives aligned with organizational objectives. Aligns all project work with membership needs, organizational strategic areas of focus, and credit union core competencies.
- Adhere to all Federal and State laws and regulations applicable to the Credit Union, including the Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC. Adheres to all regulatory requirements, both within the Credit Union industry and in general. Maintain an understanding of regulations and other external drivers that may affect the organization.
- Responsible for compliance with the Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act (FACTA), the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and the Anti Money Laundering Act, including monitoring for such illegal activity as it applies to this position.
Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Information Systems Management, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required. Candidates should have at least four (4) years of relevant work experience with progressively increasing responsibilities. Certification from IIBA, PMI, or other industry-recognized organizations is preferred, or candidates should be able to obtain such certification within one (1) year of hire. A solid understanding of financial services and the technologies relevant to the service delivery area is necessary. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio or similar applications, is required. Experience in creating key business analysis deliverables, such as functional specifications and test cases, is essential. Demonstrated experience with process analysis methodologies, including process flow definition, data flow diagramming, and use case development is required. A working knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall, as well as familiarity with the ITIL framework is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is typically required to sit for long periods. The employee continually is required to talk or hear.
