Director, Finance Business Partnering

Recently acquired by Regent LP from John Wiley & Sons into an independent business, CrossKnowledge is searching for an experienced in-house Director of Finance Business Partnering.
Role Description:
The Director of Finance Business Partnering is influential in driving the strategy, planning and overall financial performance of the company. This position will be a key contributor to budgeting and forecasting activities and will work closely with the CrossKnowledge leadership team across France, UK and the US to determine capital allocation, set investment priorities and incubate new business models. The ideal candidate will demonstrate superior commercial acumen and strong financial modelling and data analysis skills.
Responsibilities:
- Create month-end management reporting packs with insightful analysis and commentary.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting activities including weekly cash flow, monthly rolling P&L forecast and 3x annual budgeting cycles.
- Own detailed revenue reporting and forecasting. Work with the Sales and Sales Operations teams to oversee Salesforce pipeline management, revenue recognition and the calculation of deferred revenue.
- Advise on strategies and decisions regarding customers, sales channels and product mix.
- Generate product profitability and segment profitability reporting and actively engage with business leaders to deliver profitable revenue growth.
- Create financial models for new customer signings and existing customer renewals.
- Explore new revenue models, distribution channels and product models.
- Advise on commercial elements including structure, pricing, unit economics and cost.
- Create business cases to support investment decisions and strategic reinvestment bank into the business.
- Track new business initiative performance against KPIs and stage gates.
- Improve the quality and utility of business data and reporting in conjunction with the Sales Operations and Technology teams.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in strategic finance, business partnering, FP&A and/or corporate finance
- Superior commercial acumen, financial modelling, data analysis and attention to detail
- Experience working in a global business, supporting multiple geographies and business/functional teams
- Exceptional leadership, verbal, written and visual communication skills
- Capability with advanced data analytics, coding and/or data visualization
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive and solutions-oriented
- French and English language fluency required
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or Salesforce CRM is a plus
