Responsibilities: 

• Work closely with network engineers and customers to create scalable, reliable, and secure network solutions
• Engage in the design, deployment, configuration, and management network infrastructure.
• Provision, implement, and validate networking services according to solution design specifications.
• Manage and support enterprise-grade routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Utilize experience with multi-vendor switching and routing technologies, including Juniper, Arista, and Cisco, for both design considerations and troubleshooting tasks.
• Analyze and report on key performance metrics for network services.
• Maintain a robust knowledge base through thorough documentation, including the creation of operational processes in "Run-Books" and development of detailed network diagrams.
• Partner with the network operations team to enhance alerting mechanisms and minimize network outages.
• Identify and resolve root causes of network issues impacting the reliability of services to end-users
• Lead network upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning efforts.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot latency or outage issues.
• Collaborate with IT, security, and cloud teams on network integrations.
• Document configurations, diagrams, and operational procedures.

Minimum Qualifications: 

• 10 to 15+ years of professional experience in network engineering or network operations.
• Must hold at least one active Cisco certification: CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE., or equivalent.
• Deep knowledge of network protocols such as: OSPF, BGP, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLAN, VRRP, LACP, MC-LAG, and EVPN with VXLAN.
• Expertise in IPv4 and IPv6 networking.
• Familiarity with Unix and Linux systems, as well as script modification capabilities in languages like Python and bash.
• Strong experience with Cisco technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls (ASA, Firepower), and wireless controllers.
• Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark, NetFlow).
• Experience with SD-WAN, network segmentation, and high-availability designs.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
