Delterra is an environmental nonprofit on a mission to redesign human systems for the good of people and the planet. Founded by McKinsey & Company, Delterra applies a systems change approach to develop innovative, scalable solutions to solve complex environmental challenges, starting with material circularity in the Global South.  

Our current programs work to build waste management and recycling ecosystems that reduce waste and maximize the material put back into productive use including plastics and organics. To do this, we work across the value chain including: (1) with cities to build waste management and recycling systems that maximize the quality and quantity of waste recovered; and (2) with companies to build markets, unlock processing capacity and demand and make value chains more efficient, transparent and ethical. 

We currently have programs in Argentina, Brazil and Indonesia. We have full-time program teams in these locations, as well as community, government, expert NGO, and corporate partners that collaborate with us and amplify our impact.
