Your Role
As a Revenue Accountant, you'll own the end-to-end revenue recognition process, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and ASC 606 under our high-growth SaaS model. You'll work closely with our billing team, Deal Desk, and Customer Success to accurately document and record revenue, facilitate a timely close, and ensure proper treatment of complex contract terms. You'll also help create refined procedures and robust internal controls that elevate our revenue accounting processes and compliance standards. In addition, you'll help bring greater clarity and precision to how we handle credits, amendments, and non-standard contract terms.

This position reports to our Assistant Controller and has the opportunity to be based in our Pasig City, Metro Manila Office, with preferred working hours in the US Pacific Time zone.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee and contribute to the Company's revenue recognition framework by completing month-end revenue recognition postings and reconciliations.
  • Partner with the Billing team to ensure accurate data inputs and understanding of revenue sources for accurate revenue posting.
  • Execute the SaaS revenue recognition accounting model within the respective systems and tools, including executing the process of our month-end accounting close for SaaS, usage revenue, and Professional Services revenue, as well as the necessary entries for the allowance for doubtful accounts and bad debts.
  • Develop new strategies to improve the accuracy and timeliness of revenue management.
  • Develop internal finance controls based on industry best practices.
  • Direct the continued implementation and improvement of technical tools to reduce manual business processes.
  • Work with the cross-functional team on new product introductions and revenue recognition considerations.
  • Work proactively with executive management on new business arrangements and related revenue recognition considerations.
  • Assist in other ad-hoc revenue-related accounting activities.

Skills You'll Bring

  • The ideal candidate will be a Revenue Accountant with 3+ years of experience.
  • Proven track record of supporting US-based teams and strong knowledge of US GAAP. 
  • Possess an understanding of both ASC 606 and the SaaS revenue model, with a minimum of 1 year in revenue accounting.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships among multiple teams within a physically remote environment will be key to success.
  • Great attention to detail and a passion for meeting and beating deadlines, along with the energy to drive tasks to completion, are essential.
