Role Overview
The Manager of Training & Onboarding is a key leader responsible for designing and executing the end-to-end onboarding experience for clinical and administrative staff, especially during new clinic launches and new system rollouts.
This role is deeply cross-functional, requiring strong collaboration with clinical, operational, and technical teams — and will serve as the clinic go-live training and onboarding lead for Diana Health’s expanding clinic footprint. Ideal candidates are clinically experienced (e.g., MA, RN, NP), deeply operational, and excited to travel frequently to lead in-person trainings and go-lives.
Key R&R
New Clinic Go-Live Leadership + New System Launches
- Serve as the Athena systems lead during new clinic openings and go-lives.
- Coordinate all training and readiness activities, including pre-launch assessments, go-live scheduling, and post-launch support. Go-live playbook in collaboration with the manager.
- Provide hands-on, in-clinic support during launch periods to ensure smooth transitions and confident system use.
Lead onboarding and training for additional systems as they are implemented (e.g., AI documentation tools, Phreesia replacements).
Athena Training & Optimization
- Design, deliver, and maintain standardized Athena training programs for a variety of roles (providers, nurses, front desk, billing staff).
- Create and update training materials, including tip sheets, videos, and job aids tailored to Diana Health’s OBGYN workflows.
- Deliver both 1:1 and group trainings, virtually and on-site, to ensure high adoption and confidence in Athena usage.
- Track user performance and feedback to refine training content and address knowledge gaps.
Troubleshooting & Ongoing Support
- Act as a first-line resource for clinical teams needing support with Athena workflows or functionality.
- Partner with IT, Clinical Operations, and Athena support to triage and resolve system issues quickly.
- Monitor system usage trends and help identify opportunities for workflow improvements or refresher trainings.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with Clinical Leadership, Quality, and Operations teams to align training with protocols, compliance standards, and process improvements.
- Assist, as needed, in configuring Athena templates, documentation tools, and order sets to reflect current best practices in women’s health.
- Participate in the rollout of new tools, features, or modules to ensure clinical and operational integration.
Travel Requirements
- Travel up to 75% to support clinic launches, team onboarding, refresher training, and onsite troubleshooting.
- May require extended stays during major go-lives or multi-site implementations.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Clinical background required: MA, LPN, RN, NP, CNM or similar.
- 3–5+ years of experience in training, clinical operations, or practice management in a healthcare setting.
- Proven experience leading onboarding, go-lives, and system rollouts, preferably with Athenahealth.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills — able to lead engaging trainings for varied learner types.
- Passion for women’s health and delivering a high-quality, empowering care experience.
- Self-starter, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
