We’re looking for a bold, hands-on Head of Marketing to lead and scale our marketing efforts in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment. This role is perfect for a strategic thinker and sharp executor who thrives at the intersection of brand, digital, and community—and who’s eager to drive real business impact for an emerging brand that’s changing the game.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and execute a high-impact, integrated marketing strategy across brand, social, email, campaigns, and influencer/ambassador programs
  • Work side-by-side with the VP of Brand & Creative and report directly to the CEO
  • Own performance metrics across channels, ensuring a balance between ROI-driven marketing and brand storytelling
  • Lead concept development for campaigns and content—big ideas and sharp execution are your bread and butter
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with creative, comms, and commercial teams to bring brand moments to life
  • Build and manage high-output internal teams and/or external agency partners
  • Roll up your sleeves and dive into tools and tactics—this is not a top-down role

Who You Are:

  • 10+ years of brand marketing experience, ideally in lifestyle, fashion, wellness, or culturally relevant categories (food experience is a bonus, not a must)
  • Proven ability to drive measurable ROI in emerging brand or market environments
  • Equal parts visionary and operator—you dream big and move fast
  • Scrappy, agile, and proactive—comfortable with limited resources and high expectations
  • Strong brand intuition and creative instincts; you know when to push and when to pivot
  • Comfortable wearing multiple hats and setting a high bar for excellence in a lean team

We develop our salaries using market data, internal benchmarks, and candidate experience to ensure fairness and competitiveness. All full-time team members receive:

Compensation: The expected base salary range for this role (based in Alameda, CA) is $180,000 – 225,000 per year. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and overall contribution to the role.

 

Additional Information & Requirements

This is a full-time role based in the Bay Area with a minimum 3-day onsite requirement at our headquarters in Alameda, CA. We are only considering local candidates at this time.
