Territory Sales Manager, Foodservice

About the Role
We’re expanding our Foodservice team and looking for an experienced, digitally-savvy individual to bring our foodservice line of plant-based products—Just Egg products, Just Meat, Just One, and future product innovations—to foodservice operators across the U.S. This role blends relationship-driven sales with data-driven execution: you’ll manage and grow key accounts, generate new business through smart, system-based outreach, and ensure our products reach more diners.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive Foodservice Growth: Build and manage a healthy regional pipeline through a mix of inbound and outbound activity—research, outreach, digital campaigns, and lead qualification.
  • Create High-Impact Outreach: Craft engaging, personalized written communications that convert cold leads into warm conversations.
  • Own the Sales Cycle: Lead the full sales process—from prospecting and pitching to closing and onboarding—across a range of operators, distributors, and brokers.
  • Leverage Data & Systems: Track performance through CRM tools and dashboards; analyze conversion data to refine outreach strategies and targeting.
  • Relationship Building: Build relationships with key decision-makers, understand procurement cycles, and partner with distributors and redistributors (e.g., DOT Foods) to ensure product availability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, culinary, and operations to align on menu integrations, promotions, and regional activations.
  • Forecasting & Reporting: Maintain accurate sales forecasts, weekly reports, and insights to support business decisions and leadership visibility.
  • Broker Management: Assist with hiring regional brokers. Support, train, collaborate with, and manage brokers in designated region.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in foodservice sales; bonus for experience in plant-based, better-for-you, or sustainable food categories.
  • Strong digital and written communication skills—you’re as comfortable crafting persuasive outreach emails as you are presenting in person.
  • Data-driven mindset with comfort in CRM systems, Excel/Sheets, and sales analytics; experience with tools like FirstBite, HubSpot, Salesforce, or Airtable a plus.
  • Track record of building relationships with operators, distributors, and partners that translate into long-term business growth.
  • Analytical acumen: Ability to interpret sales trends and turn insights into action.
  • Relentless drive to win: You thrive on closing deals and outpacing targets. You’re creative and scrappy in finding new ways to get our products in front of customers and won’t stop until the deal is done.
  • Collaborative spirit—works seamlessly across internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Passion for sustainable, plant-based, and forward-thinking food innovation.
  • Willingness to travel regionally up to 30%.

The Perks

We develop our salaries using market data, internal benchmarks, and candidate experience to ensure fairness and competitiveness. All full-time team members receive:

  • Competitive salary + equity
  • Up to 100% fully covered medical, dental, and vision insurance (up to 80% for dependents)
  • Life, disability, and wellness benefits
  • Flexible PTO
  • Join a purpose-driven company revolutionizing breakfast—and food—through innovation

Compensation: The expected base salary range for this role (based in Alameda, CA) is $85,000 – 135,000 per year. Final compensation will be based on location, skills, experience, and overall contribution to the role.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
