Eliot is seeking compassionate, service-oriented Youth Advocates to work in a staff-secure setting for court-involved youth, ages 13 to 21 within our Juvenile Justice network. Eliot's Juvenile Justice staff-secure setting serves court-involved youth.  This position offers a unique opportunity to positively impact a youth’s life by providing patient, supportive care and mentorship. 

The role is multifaceted, encompassing advocacy, skill building, care coordination, education and role modeling. You will work as part of a dedicated team to make a meaningful difference in the lives of youth. This entry-level position is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a dedicated team of professionals inspiring positive change in the youth we serve.  

Responsibilities:

  • Promote hope and empowerment through support and meetings with clients
  • Empower clients to exercise autonomy in all aspects of their lives
  • Use principles and practices of youth development and trauma informed care to create a safe and therapeutic environment
  • Promote an inclusive, welcoming, and respectful environment that embraces diversity
  • Foster the youth’s skills and interests and mentor their positive development.
  • Implement program activities that are safe and foster personal growth and healthy choices
  • Promote responsible and healthy decision-making among youth
  • Implement applicable safety and emergency requirements including use of crisis prevention and de-escalation skills

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or related experience
  • Experience working with youth
  • Valid Massachusetts drivers license 

Schedule: 

  • Friday-Tuesday 11pm-7am Wednesday/Thursday off
  • Thursday-Monday 3pm-11pm Tuesday/ Wednesday off
  • Thursday-Monday 11pm-7am Tuesday/ Wednesday off
  • Friday-Tuesday 7am-3pm Wednesday/Thursday off
  • Wednesday-Sunday 7am-3pm Monday/ Tuesday off

 

 

 

Hourly Rate

$20.65 - $20.65 USD
