What You’ll Be Doing

The Frontend Engineer is responsible for ensuring the alignment of web design and user experience requirements, optimizing web pages for maximum efficiency, and maintaining brand consistency across all web pages, among other duties.  As a Frontend Engineer, you will be required to work in teams alongside back-end developers, product managers, UI UX designers, and quality assurance engineers to ensure all elements of web creation are consistent. You will be asked to show a strong sense of ownership, agility, and creativity.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop building blocks of complex Angular 13+ applications
  • Work closely with UX designers, project managers, and back-end engineers to implement versatile front-end solutions to web development issues.
  • Collaborate with development and business requirements team members in an agile environment
  • Work with a remote distributed team across multiple time zones
  • Manage your time and work independently and as part of a team
  • Perform code reviews, insisting on the highest quality standards
  • Actively participate in deployments and be able to engage with product and engineering confidently and with curiosity to come to the right technical solutions and the timing of deliverables

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of JavaScript/TypeScript development using modern frameworks such as Angular, AngularJS, React, Vue, etc.
  • Strong skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, and HTML5
  • Experience with monorepos (Nx)
  • Experience with CSS extension languages such as Sass, SCSS, Stylus, LESS
  • Experience with and passion for user-interface design
  • Previous experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with modern SCM (preferably Git)
  • A desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong understanding of state management
  • Prior platform development experience (metadata-driven UI) is a big plus
  • Cloud-based (AWS) development experience is a plus

Compensation:

This salary/OTE range represents the low, middle, and high end of the salary or OTE (Sales roles only) range for this position, and is subject to change. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Salary/OTE is just one component of our total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for additional benefits and perks that BeatStars has to offer. Remote salary range for this role in the targeted hiring geo’s are as follows:

  • Germany: €73,500-€86,500 (EUR)
  • Ireland: €81,00-€95,000 (EUR)
  • UK: 81,000-95,000 (GBP)

Our general global core working hours are 10am-2pm ET M-F. While we generally have the flexibility to build an 8-hour work day, we ask for flexibility during core hours, as from time to time, it may be needed to attend global calls that cover more than 2 time zones during these hours. We ask folks to schedule events when possible, at least 3 working days in advance.
