Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience of 2+ years in data preparation, data gateway and data warehousing projects.
  • Experience of 2+ years and familiarity with Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack having Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS.
  • 2+ years of experience working with Power BI

 

Job Responsibilities:

The Business Intelligence Analyst will be part of our BI/Analytics Team and will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our Power BI platform. As the Power BI developer, you will be responsible for architecting scalable, best-in-class Business Intelligence/Reporting solutions and processes. With a focus on driving data-driven decision-making, this resource will create innovative reports, views, dashboards, scorecards, visualizations, and mobile analytics apps using Power BI and Power Platform. This role will be heavily involved with requirements gathering, Data Profiling, developing KPIs, metrics, data integration and adoption of the platform. Cross-departmental engagement working closely with the IT, Sales, Finance, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to develop data-informed reports, ultimately supporting successful business growth, operational efficiency, and sales acceleration. To succeed in this role, you must have demonstrated skill at Enterprise data warehouse and a broad understanding of data integration, storage, visualization tools, and data modeling. Overall, the focus will also be on enabling self-service data analysis for ease of reporting and analytics visualization while consistently focusing on data accessibility, efficiency, governance, performance, and integrity.

 

Essential Duties:

Primary Accountabilities (10% Plan, 50% Build, 40% Run) 

 

  • Business Intelligence and Integration Design

o Understand backend data sources. o Review requirements document to determine needs, expectations, approach and scale of requested deliverables.

o Collaborate with Business Systems Analysts and internal business partners to learn the business objectives working to identify the ‘next’ question.

o Document technical deliverables via functional design, technical specifications or other documentation standards. o Use analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports.

 

  • Business Intelligence Development

o Establish processes, methods, and tools for Enterprise Power BI Platform.

o Connect to data sources, import data, transform data using various integration methods such as API, file transfers, or other automation tools.

o Build Analysis Services reporting models.

o Create visual report, dashboards and KPI scorecards.

o Make DAX queries in Power BI desktop.

o Use advance level calculations on data sets.

o Develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with warehouse standards. o Develop, publish and schedule Power BI reports as per the business requirements.

o Properly understand the business requirements and develop data models accordingly by taking care of the resources.

 

  • Business Intelligence Administration

o Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide first-level of support for report developers across the enterprise to assist in diagnosing and resolving development questions and issues.

o BI Community Collaboration: Design, develop and deliver recurring in-house training sessions to solidify and strengthen the core Power BI and platform tools development skills of report developers across the enterprise.

o Environment Optimization: Performance enhancements for reporting solution as identified and prioritized. o Security: Implement row level security on data and have an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI.

o Design methodology and project documentation.

o Provide regular, recurring reporting regarding the usage of the Power BI environment across the organization.

o Provision access to workspaces, reports, datasets within Power BI environment as appropriate.

o Monitor user usage and work closely with users whose usage of, or consumption of, reports in Power BI online has fallen below a target adoption level to assist in improving their engagement or determine if license need is still appropriate.

o Respond to User Help Desk tickets for service requests from business users.

o Apply processes and tools to support the SLA(s) established by the BI team to the various business units. Monitor and report on SLA adherence.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Sound knowledge of Data Integration techniques to develop, update, and monitor ETL Data processes in preparation for dashboards.
  • Ability to cope with stress and continuously changing demands/priorities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and committed to meeting deadlines.
  • Prior experience with D365FO is highly preferred but at a minimum must have experience developing Business Analytics/BI System for any ERP system (i.e., JD Edwards, Oracle, SAP, etc.).
  • Understanding of agile methodologies and what makes teams successful.
  • Experience working with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prior experience in the consumer goods and or food & beverage industry preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to work with business owners to develop and define key business requirements and to build data sets that answer those questions.
  • Display a professional and courteous attitude at all times.
  • Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Flexibility and ability to improve and adapt to the needs and demands of the organization.

 

Additional Skills:

  • Advanced level hands-on Power BI with Dimensional Modeling, DAX and Visualization skills.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft SQL, Power Automate, Power Apps.
  • Knowledge and experience in prototyping, designing, and requirement analysis.
  • Experience supporting self-service analytics with Power BI.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing analytics solutions that are repeatable and scalable.

Job Details:

  • Work Hours: Monday through Friday, business hours; Hybrid
  • Work Attire: Use good judgment, keeping in mind the nature of their work, their safety and the safety of others, and their need to interact with the public.
  • Pay Range: $85,000-$95,000, bonus eligible
