About the Opportunity
The Waste Treatment Technician is responsible for the daily running, monitoring and maintenance of the Waste Treatment system to meet business objectives and all regulatory standards.
What You'll Do:
- Operate and maintain all environmental and wastewater equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs
- Ensure pH and metal content compliance as required by applicable regulations (i.e, OCSD, etc.)
- Report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to supervisor
- Organize and manage hazardous waste per RCRA regulations
- Analyze wastewater samples
- Update, complete and maintain all pertinent documents and logs
- Performs other duties as needed
- Work overtime as assigned
What You'll Bring:
- Ability to work with process chemicals
- Ability to assess situations, identify issues, and develop effective solutions
- Beginner to intermediate mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- One year of environmental experience in a manufacturing environment
- RCRA DOT HAZMAT, HAZWOPER, forklift trained/certified
- Ability to work overtime as required
- Bilingual English/Spanish
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associates' degree in Chemistry (preferred)
- Two years of water treatment in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
Please note that in addition to frequent standing and walking, the work environment requires lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds; as well as, twisting/turning, reaching over shoulder/head, reaching outward.
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime and Weekends as needed

California Pay Range
$18 - $22 USD
The actual compensation offered is based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant business considerations.
