About the role
The Product Manager (AI) is responsible for managing Everway’s innovative AI-powered products from ideation through launch and ongoing improvement. You will bridge strategic vision with hands-on execution, ensuring our AI solutions align closely with customer needs, educational standards, and business objectives.
You will collaborate closely with engineering, UX/UI design, marketing, and sales teams to deliver impactful AI-driven experiences. Additionally, you will mentor and guide junior product team members, fostering best practices in product management and Agile methodologies.
Main Responsibilities
Thought Leadership
- Maintain deep expertise in AI/ML trends, EdTech innovations, and special education standards.
- Regularly share industry insights and best practices to inform strategic product decisions.
Mentorship
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior Product Managers and cross-functional team members.
- Foster continuous learning and professional growth in AI product management practices.
Product discovery
- Define and prioritize AI product features based on market research, customer feedback, and strategic business objectives.
- Develop and manage an AI-specific product roadmap aligned with Everway’s overarching vision.
- Conduct competitor analysis and market assessments to identify opportunities and inform decisions.
- Collect and interpret performance metrics and KPIs, utilizing data to refine product strategies.
Product delivery
- Clearly document AI product features and user stories, ensuring alignment with technical feasibility.
- Act as primary liaison between AI engineering and product leadership, managing structured backlogs and facilitating Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
- Continuously improve Agile processes, enabling rapid iteration and validation of AI hypotheses using Explore–Expand–Extract methodologies.
- Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of AI-powered product enhancements.
Stakeholder management
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (engineering, UX/UI, marketing, sales) to ensure seamless product development and clear communication.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholder feedback, integrating input from educators, administrators, and internal teams into product evolution.
- Create and disseminate clear product communications including user guides, release notes, and training materials to support internal and external adoption of AI-driven features.
Essential Criteria
- Proven track record of driving successful outcomes in product management, program management, or product operations, particularly with AI/ML or data-driven products.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentorship capabilities.
- Strong technical acumen with experience managing technical product teams.
- Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills, leveraging metrics for informed product decisions.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and familiarity with AI/ML workflows, including model training and deployment.
- Outstanding communication skills, adept at translating complex technical concepts into accessible narratives for diverse audiences.
- Highly collaborative approach with proven effectiveness working across multiple cross-functional teams.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience within EdTech or K-12 education sector.
- Familiarity with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Pendo).
- UX/UI design knowledge or experience creating engaging user experiences.
- Experience managing project timelines and creating detailed product launch plans.
- Strong data-driven mindset, prioritizing product decisions based on quantifiable user insights and business outcomes.
