Position Summary
We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Manager, Projects and Strategy to join our growing tax team. This remote role is ideal for a candidate who thrives in project management, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. Reporting to the Senior Director of Tax Operations this individual will play a key role in executing the firm’s tax-related initiatives and growth from a high-level, strategic lens.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage tax-related operational projects, including process optimization, technology implementation, and workflow enhancements.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Wealth Management, Compliance, Finance, Marketing) to ensure tax processes align with firm-wide goals and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the annual tax initiatives, including coordination with stakeholders and third-party vendors.
- Identify and implement best practices to improve efficiency, accuracy, and client experience in tax operations.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on projects and tax operations, providing guidance and training to internal stakeholders.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to proactively adjust internal processes.
- Support strategic planning and reporting related to tax operations and client deliverables.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in strategic planning, project management, operations, or a related role within the financial services, accounting, or FinTech industries.
- Strong project management skills with a proven ability to lead cross-functional, high-stake initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with and present to senior leadership and across departments.
- Strategic thinker with a process-oriented mindset and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel & PowerPoint.
This position is an Exempt role. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $110,000 - $130,000yr. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
