Senior Product Manager

Leeds, England, United Kingdom

Hi 👋 we’re Genio. We create beautifully simple learning tools that boost knowledge, skills, and confidence.

  • We’re a SaaS scale up and one of the fastest growing tech companies in the North.
  • There’s 100+ of us around the UK with our HQ in Leeds.
  • Our software is award-winning and used by 100,000s of students at over 800 universities & colleges worldwide.
  • We’re growing so we can achieve our mission to support 1 million students to become better learners by 2026.

Join our team as a Senior Product Manager at Genio!

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager on a 12-month FTC to grow and launch an exciting new product.

You'll be instrumental in evolving our product through data-driven insights, user-centric research, and innovative strategies. If you're passionate about leveraging technology to enhance user experiences and drive growth, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing:

  • 📈Growth and Adoption of Newest Product: You’ll lead the charge on launching and growing one of our newest learner products—shaping the go-to-market approach, identifying opportunities for adoption, and working cross-functionally to bring it to life.
  • 📊 Data-Driven Decisions: You’ll analyse qualitative data and use impact modelling to decide which areas to focus on, making sure we’re targeting the right opportunities for growth.
  • 🔎 Product Discovery and Research: You’ll be heavily involved in product discovery, conducting user interviews, and running research to understand user needs. You’ll work closely with UX and engineering to make sure we’re solving the right problems.
  • 🎯 Setting Ambitious Goals: You’ll be comfortable working with OKRs and setting challenging but achievable targets, keeping the team focused on reaching our goals.
  • 🤖 Thinking Creatively with AI: Ideally, you have some experience with AI or are eager to explore how we can use it to improve the user experience. You’ll work with our internal AI experts to find innovative ways to integrate AI into the product.
  • 🤝 Collaborating with Other PMs: You’ll need to be a team player, working closely with other product managers to share insights, avoid duplicating efforts, and ensure we’re all moving in the same direction.

About you:

We are looking for someone with:

  • A solid understanding of software product management, as well as possessing a high level, technical understanding of software development and delivery.
  • A genuine interest in EdTech: You’re curious about the EdTech space and how technology can enhance learning and knowledge management.
  • A strategic and analytic mindset and are skilled at using data to guide your decisions, especially when it comes to qualitative insights.
  • A track record of validating ideas through discovery for a user facing product.
  • Experience in conducting virtual discovery/ research calls with customers, users and prospects.
  • An ability to use data to report on outcomes but also drive further user discovery.
  • Experience of managing a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • A willingness, and ability to adapt and refine working processes, to best suit your team, and the growth of Genio.

Preferable but not essential:

  • Experience with AI is a plus, particularly in applying it to improve user experiences.

💰Salary and benefits:

ÂŁ70,000 - ÂŁ78,000 dependent upon experience

🏖️ 33 days annual leave (Inclusive of bank holidays)
