
Equity Research Analyst

Grayscale Investments is seeking an equity research analyst to join its Research Team. The role involves building financial models for publicly traded companies and applying traditional equity research tools to digital assets with cash flows. The Research Team produces written reports about the asset class, supports the business on technical and quantitative topics, and interfaces with the firm’s clients.
Grayscale is at the frontier of digital assets investing, and this role is an opportunity to innovate new approaches in a rapid growing industry. Candidates must have at least two years’ experience in equity research, investment banking, or other closely related functions. We do not require any background in digital assets or blockchain technology.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct fundamental valuation analysis of public companies as well as digital assets with cash flows
- Author original research reports and investment theses for external use
- Monitor digital asset markets and related public equity instruments
- Present research findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders and, where applicable, to clients
Prior Experience/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CFA designation (or candidacy) is preferred
- 2+ years of experience in equity research, investment banking, or a related field
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial platforms such as Bloomberg, FactSet, or Capital IQ
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and a passion for financial markets and investing
- A background or demonstrated interest in crypto, blockchain, or digital assets is a plus but is not require
