POSITION OVERVIEW

This is based on the relentless quest to understand what matters in people’s lives as well as an unwavering passion to identify action items from deep insights within the business/brand that can increase relevancy and drive engagement. 

The Associate Director, Engagement is responsible for serving as strategic lead on one or two small accounts and strategic support on larger, integrated accounts. You will be responsible for leading small to mid-sized new business opportunities, with autonomy. Additionally, you are responsible for understanding our clients’ specific markets, competition, and target audience insights, translating those insights into an actionable engagement strategy. You will be responsible for managing a team of Engagement Strategists and/or Senior Engagement Strategists. You will ensure the Engagement team works in a continuous effort to develop a strategic skill sets to identify and deliver the most compelling engagement plans to differentiate a brand in a compelling perspective, constantly pushing to make Famously Effective work. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Lead multiple client relationships and work as an active support to clients, providing them with clear, strategic advice and actionable engagement direction 
  • Lead engagement strategy development including positioning, targeting, and creative brief that will inspire great creative 
  • Develop and lead the implementation of customer experience strategies that align with client objectives, brand values, and target audience insights. 
  • Partner with other agency departments leads to ensure strategic thinking is incorporated in all aspects of the agency’s work 
  • Lead the strategic engagement component of new business pitches 
  • Work closely with clients to understand their customer experience goals, challenges, and business objectives and ensure the engagement strategy supports the overall business and marketing goals. 
  • Collaborate on developing and refining engagement strategies based on client feedback 
  • Collaborate with creative teams, technology teams, and other departments to integrate engagement strategy into advertising campaigns and digital experiences. 
  • Contribute to the creation and refinement of user personas to deepen the understanding of target audiences, and use personas to inform and personalize the customer experience strategy and contribute to the design of omnichannel customer experiences that seamlessly integrate online and offline touchpoints. 
  • Ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all channels. 
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of CX strategies. Analyze results and provide insights for continuous improvement. 
  • Craft well written strategy presentations for new and existing business with an ability to analyze, reflect, distill and story-tell 
  • Develop, direct and evaluate quantitative and qualitative research that answers key questions and provides fodder for insight identification 
  • Manage and mentor the team to foster engagement through learning and development, leading to career growth at all levels  
  • Contribute to the overall agency culture through exemplary modeling of our core values 
  • Work cross-functionally within the agency to ensure the successful and innovative execution of approved strategies 
  • Serve as a thought leader and subject matter expert within the agency, with clients, and within the industry at large 

  • Experience using AI for research, content development and curiosity about emerging AI technologies and their applications to an elevated engagement experience

  • Understanding and experience using modular content and personalization vs general content execution as it relates to audience segmentation 

 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:  

  • Effective leadership and collaboration skills to guide and work with cross-functional teams 
  • Strong client-facing skills to build and maintain relationships, understand client needs, and present engagement strategies 
  • Skilled in storytelling and public speaking  
  • Experienced in leading new business presentations and facilitating workshops 
  • Ability to adapt to changing customer expectations, market dynamics, and industry trends. 
  • 5-8 years of experience in advertising or related industry

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. Pay Range

$75,000 - $180,000 USD
