At GuidePoint Security, Business Analysts work at the forefront of Information Technology and Information Security, pivotal in deciphering, analyzing, and interpreting business data to drive informed decision-making and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of business processes and an ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences. Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders across diverse business units to facilitate collaboration and alignment.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to GuidePoint Security’s user base, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of their needs.
  • Serve as a liaison between business users and technical teams, thoroughly documenting and translating business requirements into actionable solutions.
  • Analyze and document business processes, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and drive process improvements that enhance scalability, reliability, and simplicity.
  • Apply deep knowledge of business operations to support issue resolution and contribute to technical redesign initiatives.
  • Elicit, document, and refine both business and non-functional requirements to clearly articulate stakeholder objectives.
  • Embrace and support organizational change through continuous learning, adaptability, and proactive communication.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn new concepts and technologies and share knowledge with or train other IT team members as needed.
  • Communicate project progress, challenges, and issues to management in a clear, consistent, and timely manner.
  • Work independently and collaboratively across multiple projects in a dynamic, remote work environment.
  • Contribute to a culture that encourages innovation, creative problem-solving, and a commitment to excellence in delivering application solutions to the business.

 Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience as a Business Analyst or in a comparable role, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity.
  • Advanced proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies, including process mapping, use case development, requirements elicitation, and documentation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in analyzing complex business processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and implementing scalable solutions.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to think both critically and strategically.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage, influence, and collaborate with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects, prioritizing tasks, and delivering results within established timelines.
  • Broad understanding of key business functions, including Sales, Quoting, Order Management, Project Management and Costing, Service Delivery, and Finance (GL, AP, AR, and Reporting).
  • Experience translating business needs into functional requirements and effectively communicating changes across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency with business analysis and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and diagramming applications (e.g., Lucidchart).
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and train junior analysts, fostering a culture of best practices and continuous improvement in business analysis.

Travel Requirements:

  • Approximately 10% out-of-town travel to regional offices and/or data centers
  • Work remotely or at the regional office when not traveling

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work
  • Substantial movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers for a minimum of 8 hours a day
  • Required to have close visual acuity to view computer terminal and/or extensive reading for a minimum of 8 hours a day
