Software Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure

Role

As a Software Engineer focusing on Cloud Platform Monitoring, you will contribute to ensuring the robust health and performance of Intrinsic's cloud-based robotics platform. You will apply hands-on software development skills to actively improve monitoring, dashboarding, and alerting within the platform, helping to deliver reliable automation solutions to our customers.

How your work moves the mission forward

  • Design and implement a plan to provide comprehensive visibility into overall platform health.
  • Collaborate with teams to enhance their services for robust health metric provision.
  • Participate in the full development lifecycle for platform services—designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and improving software.

Skills you will need to be successful

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in software development.
  • Experience programming in Go.
  • Understanding of microservices and gRPC/REST services.
  • Experience with monitoring in a distributed microservice architecture (Prometheus + Grafana).

Skills that will differentiate your candidacy

  • Experience with Python, C++, or TypeScript/JavaScript.
  • Experience with public cloud platforms (GCP) and Kubernetes.
  • SRE fundamentals (SLIs/SLOs/SLAs).
  • Experience with automation tools such as Terraform (IaC).
