About this Role
We are looking for a talented engineer to provide technical leadership to the Hardware Systems organization to help us build the next generation of silicon photonics based artificial intelligence accelerators and interconnect products.
As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for delivering board and system solutions using Lightmatter’s innovative technology to create state of the art machine learning/artificial intelligence or massive scale-out interconnect platforms. You will work closely with our hardware and software teams, including mechanical, packaging, and IC engineering, to design and build leading edge system level products.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Systems Architect and design engineers to develop optimal solutions for system design requirements
- Provide guidance and recommendations to board designers to ensure the highest quality products
- Review board and system designs to understand technical challenges and overall status in all facets of the system designs including electrical, mechanical, and thermal
- Communicate with other team Technical Leads to ensure dependencies are understood and milestones are met
- Ensure the board and system is manufacturable to the latest technologies with high yield and robustness
- Manage and work with component vendors and other supply partners
- Research new components, processes, and technologies to meet product goals
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline with at least 12 years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience
- Experience in electrical board design, having successfully taken several products from concept to production.
- In depth knowledge on VRMs, high speed SERDES, CPUs and various interfaces/protocols such as PCIe, Ethernet, QSPI, I3C, I2C, etc
- Experience leading technical teams with successful execution
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with laser driver and temperature control circuit design
