Head of Veterinary Marketing

Remote - US

About Loyal

Loyal is a clinical-stage veterinary medicine company developing drugs intended to extend the lifespan and healthspan of dogs. Our mission is to help dogs live longer, healthier lives.

We’ve already achieved significant milestones on our path to earning FDA approval for the first lifespan extension drug for any species. We have three products in our pipeline and are on track for FDA conditional approval within the next year.

Loyal is a well-funded startup in growth mode. Our team includes scientists, veterinarians, engineers, operators, and creatives. This role will play a key role in supporting our growth strategies.

About the role

We’re seeking an experienced Head of Veterinary Marketing to lead our efforts to drive awareness, education, and adoption of LOY-002 and future pipeline drugs within the veterinary community. This leader will be responsible for equipping veterinary professionals with the knowledge and confidence they need to embrace longevity medicine and to prescribe our products.

This role sits at the intersection of science, education, and marketing. You will own our veterinary marketing funnel from top to bottom. You will partner with our clinical team of veterinarians to develop and execute strategies that educate the veterinary community about aging as a modifiable risk factor for nearly all diseases that shorten dog lifespan, the anticipated clinical benefit of our product(s), safety, and the benefits of early adoption. You will develop content and strategies to nurture interest leading up to launch, as well as developing and executing our veterinary marketing plan for launch. You will be a key partner to our business development and sales teams, building the education-first foundation that ultimately converts early awareness into prescribing behavior.

You will manage and grow a small but high-impact team responsible for veterinary continuing education content and strategy in partnership with our clinical team, events and conferences, and partnerships with key opinion leaders, influencers, and other industry groups.

The successful candidate should be an excellent operator who can create structure and clarity out of ambiguity, and get things done quickly and excellently in a startup environment.

You will be reporting to our Chief Commercial Officer.
