This role is Minneapolis-based with a hybrid setup, requiring regular in-person presence (3 days per week) for collaboration with Target and Maesa team members. 

Role Overview 

As an Associate Account Manager at Target, you will be a vital part of the Customer Development team supporting the management and growth of our relationship with Target, one of our key retail partners. This role focuses on providing data-driven insights, managing operational tasks, and assisting in the execution of sales strategies for our innovative beauty brands, such as Being Frenshe, Kristin Ess, Fine’ry, and Mix:Bar. You will collaborate closely with the Account Manager and cross-functional teams to analyze sales data, identify market trends, and ensure the seamless launch & maintenance of products and promotions. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in account management, data analysis, and the beauty industry within a dynamic, fast-paced, private equity-backed environment. 

Responsibilities 

  • Analyze sales data and market trends using tools like Circana, Target Partners Online, Excel, and Power BI to provide actionable insights, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and identify opportunities to drive business performance and strategic decision-making. 
  • Support the Account Manager in developing and executing sales plans, including assortment planning, promotional strategies, new item launches, and product maintenance. 
  • Manage operational tasks such as new item setup, sample coordination, display management, and contract administration to ensure smooth account operations. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Customer Strategy, Marketing, and Supply Chain to align on priorities and execute initiatives effectively. 
  • Assist in preparing presentations and materials for meetings, ensuring all data and information are accurate and up-to-date. 
  • Handle administrative duties related to the account including maintaining item information, updating pricing, and managing planograms. 
  • Utilize Target Partners Online tools (i.e. Vendor IQ, ShipIQ, Pegasus) to track performance and manage account operations. 
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer behaviors in the beauty space to inform strategies and recommendations. 
  • Contribute to Maesa’s commitment to innovative and sustainable brand strategies. 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field. 
  • 1-3 years of experience in sales analysis, account management, or a related role within the CPG or beauty industry. 
  • Experience working with Target or other major retailers is highly preferred. 
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools (i.e. Power BI, Tableau). 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. 
  • Detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced setting. 
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a passion for the beauty industry and a curiosity about consumer trends. 
  • Familiarity with Target Partners Online tools (i.e. Vendor IQ, ShipIQ, Pegasus) is a plus. 

What We Offer  

$75,000/yr - $95,000/yr.  Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This position is eligible for participation in a discretionary bonus plan based on individual and company performance.
