Project Controls Analyst

We are looking for a Project Project Controls Analyst that can provide coordination and organizational support to our team of Project Managers.
In addition to the basic qualifications listed, the successful candidate should have strong analytical skills and a high attention to detail.
Our clients include federal agencies (Dept. of Veteran Affairs, Dept. of Defense, GSA, Federal Bureau of Prisons, state, and local governments). Projects have varied degrees of complexity and a wide range of estimated construction costs and include hospitals and healthcare, military bases, federal buildings and courthouses, state and local government buildings, research laboratories, central steam and chilled water plants, corrections facilities and site utility infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update project schedules across the firm’s active portfolio in coordination with PMs.
- Track milestone progress and flag schedule risks or delays to project leadership.
- Coordinating with discipline leads to ensure schedule inputs reflect current project conditions.
- Generate schedule status reports for internal leadership.
- Serve as liaison between Project Managers and the Accounting Department to ensure aligned project data.
- Participate in project kick-off meetings to establish budget, schedule, and contract baselines.
- Support PM teams with project setup in the firm’s project management and accounting systems (e.g., Unanet, Deltek Vantagepoint, BST Global, or equivalent).
- Assist in preparation of project status reports and leadership dashboards.
- Identify process improvement opportunities in project controls workflows and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and project schedule data and create clear reports.
- High attention to detail when tracking budgets, contracts, and project milestones
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address project risks early.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across project teams, leadership, and accounting staff.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, or related field.
- 2-3 years of direct or related experience in project coordination, operations, project controls, or administrative support roles.
- Experience supporting project schedules, reporting, documentation, and tracking activities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and competing priorities.
- Experience preparing reports, presentations, dashboards, or status updates for project teams or leadership.
- Ability to maintain accurate project records, financial data, and supporting documentation with a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including experience, qualifications, education, certifications and licensure.
