Position Summary

Monet Bank is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join the Accounting and Finance team. This position will play an important role in the close process, including preparation and review of periodic journal entries and reconciliations, as well as close collaboration and review of the Accounts Payable function. The ideal candidate will have experience working for a financial institution utilizing Workday, and/or SBO.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review general ledger journal entries in accordance with GAAP and bank-specific accounting standards.
  • Prepare and review monthly and quarterly reconciliations.
  • Participate in month-end and quarter-end close process, as needed.
  • Participate in the review and oversight of accounts payable process.
  • Analyze financial data and variances, providing insight to management as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant banking regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

 

Qualifications (Education, Computer Skills, Certifications, Etc.):

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in Accounting, preferably in a banking or financial services environment
  • Experience with Workday, SBO, and/or TPG highly desired
  • Self-starter with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Tenacity, energy and drive to work in a dynamic, changing environment
  • Desire to learn and grow
  • Ability to be in office / on-site Monday through Friday
