The role

The Procurement Manager, Engineering & Equipment Procurement – Team Lead will lead a team of Technical Procurement Managers in the execution of procurement strategies across complex data center construction and operations projects in the United States and other locations. This role is responsible for end-to-end strategic sourcing and supplier management across categories such as construction, critical equipment, utilities, and related services. The Team Lead will drive supplier selection, contract negotiation, cross-functional collaboration, and team performance, ensuring effective procurement support for the company’s expanding infrastructure

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Lead and manage a team of Technical Procurement Managers supporting our project, especially US-based data center construction and operational projects.
  • Oversee end-to-end procurement processes including RFPs, RFQs, supplier selection, negotiations, and contract finalization.
  • Drive procurement strategy development across key categories: data center construction, utility systems (energy, gas, water), heavy equipment, storage, and waste management.
  • Align procurement timelines with project execution schedules in close collaboration with construction and engineering stakeholders.
  • Negotiate complex commercial and contractual terms to reduce legal, operational, and financial risk.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Track supplier performance and manage supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery, cost-effectiveness, and quality standards.
  • Partner with legal teams to draft and review contractual terms.
  • Monitor market and pricing trends to identify sourcing opportunities and cost optimization.
  • Develop and maintain procurement metrics and performance dashboards.
  • Act as a point of escalation for issue resolution with suppliers and internal customers.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, team accountability, and operational excellence within the procurement team.

We expect you to have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of procurement experience in data centers, utilities, heavy construction, or energy sectors.
  • Proven leadership experience managing procurement teams or cross-functional projects.
  • Strong understanding of large-scale infrastructure procurement, including construction and engineering contracts.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage vendor negotiations and mitigate contractual risk.
  • Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.

It will be an added bonus if you have: 

  • Familiarity with Oracle NetSuite or other enterprise procurement systems.
  • Experience with renewable energy infrastructure, utilities, or critical equipment categories.
  • Previous experience supporting Data Center construction projects across multiple US states.

Compensation

We offer competitive salaries between 147k - 222k plus quarterly bonuses and equity based on your experience.
