The role
The Tax Reporting Manager oversees the tax accounting and reporting processes for the company, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations, both internal and external.
This role involves managing tax compliance, preparing/reviewing (quarterly) tax calculations and returns, and providing direct tax advice and support to various stakeholders. This role will contribute to financial accuracy and regulatory compliance, working closely with internal finance teams, auditors, and tax authorities to ensure timely filings and optimized tax positions. This role also plays a key role in implementing and improving tax technology solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the preparation/coordination and filing of tax returns (e.g., Corporate Income Tax, etc.), ensuring accuracy and timeliness and support implementation of new reporting/compliance requirements like Pillar 2.
- Oversee tax accounting processes, including (quarterly) tax provision and deferred tax calculations under USGAAP, IFRS, or local GAAP.
- Identify direct tax optimization opportunities within compliance boundaries.
- Identifying and implementing improvements to direct tax processes, including the use of technology, to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Partner with Financial Reporting, Legal, Shared Services/Accounting and tax strategy stakeholders to provide expert advice on direct tax reporting matters.
- Prepare tax reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage tax audits and mitigate risks proactively.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in direct tax regulations and guidelines.
- Ensure internal process related to direct taxes and tax reporting are SOX compliant.
- Continuous focus on how to use technology to improve efficiency and accuracy.
We expect you to have:
- Strong understanding of corporate tax laws and international accounting standards (USGAAP, IFRS and local GAAP).
- Minimum 7 years of experience in tax compliance and reporting, preferably in a multinational environment.
- Proficiency with tax software and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite).
- Solid analytical and project management skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail while meeting internal and external deadlines.
- Proactive problem-solving and accountability mindset.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a cross-functional and fast-paced environment.
It will be an added bonus if you have:
- Familiarity with data and indirect tax automation tools (FONOA) and ERP systems (Oracle NetSuite).
- Experience in multinational organizations or high-growth environments.
- Professional tax qualifications or certifications.
- In-house experience with exposure to the tech industry and digital economy is a plus.
