About The Role
As Fora grows internationally we're looking for International Ambassadors to support and strengthen our communities in key markets. These part-time contractor roles are designed for experienced Fora advisors who are deeply embedded in their local advisors excited to help others navigate the Fora platform and build community.
Ambassadors serve as trusted leaders in their region — sharing expertise, answering questions, and helping others feel confident in their day-to-day work. Ambassadors sit at the intersection of community management, advisor support, and brand representation. A key part of the role is participating in Forum and Whatsapp spaces, where responses are visible to the broader advisor community. This means your contributions should not only answer questions, but also reinforce a helpful, welcoming, and solutions-oriented environment. This role is ideal for an engaged, well-connected Fora advisor who communicates clearly, shows good judgment, and approaches interactions professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Community Engagement & Forum Management
- Respond to advisor questions in Forum and International Whatsapp groups with accurate, helpful, and timely guidance — adapting tone and depth to the advisor's experience level (Uncertified, Certified, Pro, Fora X)
- Organize Forum content through re-threading and reformatting posts for clarity and discoverability
- Review the Forum backlog; flag, edit, or remove outdated, inaccurate, or misplaced content
- Monitor for misinformation and ensure Fora's Community Guidelines are upheld at all times through different channels including Forum, Whatsapp and community events
- Sign up for bi-weekly Forum management shifts via the Ambassador Shift Sign-Up sheet
- Host occasional kick-off calls to greet new advisors
- Host occasional live-support sessions to respond advisor inquiries and questions
Regional Liaison & Advocacy
- Act as a trusted point of contact between international advisors and Fora HQ
- Surface regional community sentiment, questions, and needs to the HQ team via Slack
- Identify subject matter experts within your region and foster peer collaboration
- Represent Fora in relevant online communities (Facebook groups, WhatsApp, Reddit, local forums) — introducing yourself to moderators and sharing only accurate, up-to-date information
- Represent Fora at in-person industry events where relevant, in alignment with Fora's Community Guidelines
- Flag advisor behavior concerns with appropriate context to the HQ team
Internal Collaboration
- Attend or review notes from weekly HQ Ambassador meetings (minimum 2x/month)
- Coordinate via the #fora-ambassadors Slack channel for questions, escalations, and knowledge-sharing
Requirements
- Active Fora advisor — Advanced status or above
- Strong written communication in English — clear, warm, professional, and action-oriented
- Deep familiarity with Fora's platform, community culture, and advisor experience
- Ability to commit ~10 hours per month consistently, including bi-weekly shift sign-ups
- Comfortable operating independently with minimal oversight
- Reliable access to Slack, Whatsapp Forum, and email
- Aligned with Fora's tone of voice: understanding, empowering, grounded, and personable
Strongly Preferred
- Based in or deeply connected to a key international market — APAC, Europe, UK or other global regions
- Multilingual — additional languages beyond English are a significant advantage
- Experience moderating online communities or managing group communications
- Existing network within the regional travel advisor community
- Pro or Fora X advisor status
Compensation
This is a paid hourly contractor role at $50 USD per hour. Ambassadors invoice Fora on a once- or twice-monthly basis for hours logged on the Ambassador Shift Sign-Up sheet.
- Invoices must be submitted within 15 days of the billing date
- Late invoices (30+ days past due) will not be accepted
- Payment is issued within 14 days of a valid invoice submission

WORK AUTHORIZATION
Authorization to work in the United States is required for full-time roles based in our New York City office. Fora is unable to sponsor or assist with U.S. work authorization. Roles based outside of the United States are not subject to this requirement.
