Applied AI Lead Engineer
About OfficeSpace:
OfficeSpace is the AI workplace management platform that helps teams plan, connect, and perform in the modern workplace. As a performance-based, PE-backed company, we hire based on merit and a willingness to do what it takes to succeed long-term. You’re a great fit for the role if you’re entrepreneurial, passionate, motivated by building at light speed, and an Agentic AI early adopter. Our world-class teams operate in the US, Canada, and Costa Rica in a culture of trust, respect, growth, and impact.
About the Role
We’re building an internal Agentic Hub to transform manual processes into intelligent, automated systems. The Applied AI Lead Engineer will lead the engineering work that powers this hub — designing and delivering agentic workflows that accelerate GTM execution and give teams time back to focus on higher-value work.
You’ll work in a structured PDLC alongside Product and Ops to identify bottlenecks and pain points across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Finance. Your team will use tools like n8n, Cursor, Claude Code, Supabase, Lovable, and Google Cloud to automate everything from lead scoring to internal handoffs to reporting rollups. The role includes both hands-on build work and leadership responsibilities across a small, high-output team.
Your mission: turn manual work into fast, scalable, AI-powered systems that move the business forward.
What You’ll Build
You’ll design and deliver agentic workflows that:
- Detect and escalate stale pipeline deals in Salesforce with Slack nudges or auto-closure rules
- Route and summarize Gong call insights to Podio or AE queues, tagged by product signal or churn risk
- Sync Google Ads performance with Salesforce campaigns and track downstream conversion
- Auto-route SDR tasks based on 6Sense intent signals and lead score thresholds
- Combine CSAT, usage drop-offs, and support tickets into a proactive retention dashboard
- Generate unified GTM escalation records by aggregating Slack, Jira, and CRM history
- Build custom ChatGPT GPTs with Actions that trigger workflows, fetch data, and support internal users through natural language
These workflows won’t be one-offs — you’ll build reusable components and templates that other teams can extend and adopt.
Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership
- Lead a small engineering team focused on agentic workflow delivery
- Guide architecture, code quality, and platform decisions across all builds
- Define and evolve reusable internal standards, templates, and best practices
- Collaborate cross-functionally to clarify ambiguous requests and prioritize the highest-leverage automations
Systems Integration
- Own the end-to-end integration strategy with tools like Salesforce, Gong, Jira, 6Sense, Podio, ChatGPT, and Google Cloud
- Build workflows in n8n and supporting logic in TypeScript, Python, and SQL
- Prototype using tools like Cursor, Claude Code, and internal sandboxes, then productionize and maintain
- Design, test, and deploy OpenAI-powered agents and GPTs, including Actions that integrate with internal APIs and tools
Execution & Delivery
- Work within a structured PDLC (sprint planning, retros, backlog grooming, QA)
- Partner with Product, RevOps, Ops, and other functions to scope problems and prioritize solutions
- Own system reliability, testing, deployment, observability, and documentation
Governance & Quality
- Implement logging, alerting, and fallback protocols for mission-critical automations
- Coordinate with InfoSec and Legal on access controls, data usage, and API auth
- Maintain internal documentation and developer enablement materials
Measurement & Impact
- Track time saved, cycle times reduced, and business impact of launched agents
- Build internal dashboards to report adoption and usage
- Continuously improve based on usage feedback and evolving team needs
Requirements
- 6+ years of engineering experience, including 2+ years in a technical leadership role
- Proven experience building integrations and automations using APIs (REST, GraphQL, webhooks)
- Proficient in n8n, Node.js/TypeScript, Python, and structured data formats (JSON, SQL)
- Experience with common GTM and productivity tools: Salesforce, Gong, Jira, 6Sense, Podio, Google Ads, and Google Cloud
- Experience building custom GPTs with OpenAI Actions, and using OpenAI APIs to solve real-world problems
- Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycles and structured agile development
- Able to document, test, and scale systems while keeping internal teams unblocked
- Comfortable mentoring engineers and shaping reusable patterns over time
Bonus
- Experience with prompt chaining, RAG, or orchestrating multiple AI tools in production
- Experience with Supabase, Postgres, or serverless backends
- Familiarity with AI-native developer tools like Cursor or Lovable
- Prior experience in RevOps, GTM tooling, or internal platform teams
- Exposure to secure internal data handling and role-based access governance
Why You’ll Love This Role
- You’ll build useful, high-impact automations that people rely on daily
- You’ll work with modern tools like OpenAI, Claude, n8n, Supabase, and Cursor
- You’ll directly improve sales velocity, ops efficiency, and team productivity
- You’ll be trusted to prototype, ship, and scale your best ideas
- You’ll help shape the foundation of our Agentic Engineering practice
