Title: 2026 Bold Beginners - Art Direction Intern
Location: NYC/NJ Hybrid
Department/Discipline: Art Direction
Overview:
The Art Intern will collaborate with cross-functional teams to shadow and contribute to initiatives through engaging, meaningful work assignments. The intern will have a hands-on learning experience that will help develop a strong foundation in healthcare advertising. The Art Direction Intern will provide professional graphic design support in an imaginative, clearly communicative, and persuasive manner. Under the general guidance and supervision of a Creative Supervisor, Art Director, or Assistant Art Director, the Art Director Intern will help establish identity standards, develop original art, produce layouts, and assist those individuals in the performance of their duties.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Show off your conceptualization skills through your partnership with an Art Director.
- Put your working knowledge of computer software to the test – ie, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.
- Apply your creative thinking within a strategic framework.
- Hone your ability to think visually.
- Become an expert at deciphering between good and great ideas.
- Pay attention to polish prose (body copy).
- Spend time reviewing advertising annuals (Communication Arts/One Show/Addy/Art Director’s Club).
- Brush up your presentation skills through presenting your idea and work.
- Assist creative supervisors in developing graphic & layouts for ads, new business proposals, and presentations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Experience: 0+ years
- Area of Expertise: Related Field
- Portfolio of work (school/spec work is acceptable) demostrating creative ability
- Rising sophomores, juniors, seniors, & recent graduates are encouraged to apply
Competencies:
- Strong written & verbal communication skills required
- Possesses solid presentatioin skills
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)

The range below represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of an Omnicom Health Group company in the United States. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience, training, associated responsibilities, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
