Practice Administrator

Remote

About Us:

OncoveryCare is an early-stage virtual healthcare company committed to fundamentally rethinking and transforming the landscape of physical and mental healthcare for cancer survivors. Our team is composed of cancer survivors, clinicians, and experts in cutting-edge healthcare delivery. We believe that world class care after a cancer diagnosis shouldn’t end when treatment is over, and we provide an innovative, evidence-based approach to deliver patient-centered, whole-person support for survivors throughout the cancer journey.

Our vision is a world where living beyond cancer isn’t just “surviving”—it’s thriving.

A few tidbits about cancer survivorship:

  • There are over 18 million cancer survivors in the United States today—and that number is expected to grow to 26 million by 2040
  • Cancer survivors experience a range of physical and mental health side effects from treatment
  • Survivorship starts at the moment of diagnosis and continues post-treatment—we are starting in the “transitions of care” phase post-treatment, when there is often not a specialized team to take over caring for the survivor moving forward

Our Guiding Principles:

  • By survivors, for survivors: We build the survivor voice and experience into all that we do
  • Clinical integrity and rigor: We prioritize evidence-based approaches and an integrated team to deliver the highest-quality care
  • Trauma-informed care: We “meet survivors where they are” and respect their lived experience
  • Changing the status quo: We are committed to radically reinventing how cancer survivorship care is designed, delivered, and experienced
  • Transparency & inclusivity: Building a new frontier of cancer care is both hard and rewarding—everyone has a role to play, and fostering a positive and open team culture is our priority

About the Role:

As the Practice Administrator at OncoveryCare, you’ll play a key role in making our virtual survivorship clinic run smoothly every day. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you’ll keep patient operations on track, support our care team, and help us continuously improve the way we deliver care. This is a great opportunity for someone detail-oriented, resourceful, and eager to grow in healthcare operations.

You’ll be exposed to a fast-growing, mission-driven healthcare company while building skills in clinic operations, patient experience, and process improvement.

  • Team Support: Be the first point of contact for the clinical and operations team, helping resolve day-to-day questions and issues
  • Operational Improvement: Spot opportunities to make things work better and help test and roll out new processes that improve efficiency and patient experience
  • Credentialing & Licensing: Coordinate credentialing and licensing applications and renewals with our partners to ensure clinical team compliance and readiness
  • Ad-hoc Support: Jump in wherever needed with a start-up “all hands on deck” mindset

How You’ll Thrive:

  • Within the first 90 days, you will onboard with OncoveryCare’s team to understand our approach to survivorship care and clinical model, building a deep understanding of our administrative workflows and operational processes
  • Within the first year, you will take ownership of day-to-day workflows and partner with leadership to refine and scale virtual clinic operations, ensuring seamless support for the growth of our clinical programs
  • Long-term growth opportunity: You will have the chance to rapidly progress within a dynamic startup environment, playing a pivotal role in sharing the future of our operations and making a lasting impact on the lives of cancer survivors

What You Will Need:

  • 2+ years of administrative or operations experience, ideally in a healthcare or service-oriented environment

  • Resourcefulness and reliability, with follow-through and the ability to find solutions when things are unclear
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools, processes, and challenges
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, to support patients, providers, and teammates
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, changing environment, with a proactive mindset to keep things moving forward
  • A sense of ownership and accountability, with initiative to help the team deliver a smooth patient and provider experience
