Leveraging our expertise in AI and computer vision, we are building a risk assessment platform that is safer and faster than traditional human inspections.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Senior Accounting Associate to join our team and support our financial operations. This role will play a crucial part in maintaining financial accuracy, ensuring compliance, and supporting OnsiteIQ’s continued success.
About the Role:
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for owning the core accounting functions, including accounts receivable/payable, month-end closing, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of accounting experience, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
What You’ll Do:
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
- Assist with audits and coordinate with external auditors.
Bookkeeping & General Ledger Management
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and payroll transactions.
- Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support the VP of Finance in developing financial models to track company growth.
- Assist leadership with budget planning and expense management.
Tax & Regulatory Compliance
- Prepare tax filings and ensure timely submission.
- Maintain compliance with sales tax, payroll tax, and corporate tax obligations.
What You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is a plus.
- 2-4+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in startups or fast-growing companies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Maxio, Bill.com, Anrok, Brex).
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
