We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SoC Design Engineer with extensive experience in WiFi MAC Integration. This role is essential for driving the development of advanced SoC architectures, specifically focusing on the integration and optimization of WiFi MAC functionalities. The ideal candidate will lead the design, implementation, and verification of SoC designs, leveraging their deep expertise in RTL development and low-power design techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement RTL solutions using Verilog or VHDL for ARM-based SoC architectures, focusing on integration and optimization of WiFi MAC functionalities.
  • Engage in all phases of SoC design from specification to design and verification, emphasizing low-power techniques to achieve high-performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate custom logic specific to WiFi MAC into SoC designs, including both classic ASIC components and ARM integration aspects.
  • Analyze system-level performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose innovative design solutions to enhance efficiency and functionality.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and advancements in WiFi technology and SoC design methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in SoC design and RTL development, with specific expertise in Verilog or VHDL.
  • Proven track record with ARM-based SoC designs and understanding of low-power design techniques.
  • Practical experience in WiFi MAC architecture and its integration into SoC, preferably with exposure to accelerator design for MAC processing.
  • Previous work experience at leading chip companies such as MediaTek, Broadcom, Qualcomm, Marvell, Cisco, Realtek, or Quantenna is highly desirable.

Skills

  • Proficient in advanced RTL design, simulation, and verification tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, iterative development environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with both internal teams and external partners.
