Role Summary

Role: Harness Design Engineer (Zuken E3) Contractor
Location: Fremont, CA
Department: Hardware Engineering (EE)

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop wiring harnesses for electric vehicles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure harness integration.
  • Utilize Zuken E3 design software to create detailed schematics and layouts.
  • Manage technical specifications and documentation for harness components.
  • Conduct analysis and validation of harness designs to meet safety standards.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers for harness production.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve harness-related issues during prototyping.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes.
  • Support the installation and testing of harnesses in prototypes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Harness Design Engineer or similar role.
  • Proficiency with Zuken E3 design software is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of electric vehicle systems and components.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Experience with CAD software is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements for EVs.

Hourly Rate

$80 - $110 USD
